Compton & Wendler | Houston, Texas
Occupying a space on the thirty-second floor of a downtown high-rise, the plan layout for the accounting firm of Compton Wendler incorporates nine offices, a reception area, conference room, and common area. The offices, organized along the exterior window wall, are separated from the interior common spaces by floor to ceiling glass partitions, allowing light to penetrate the interior zone. Likewise the conference room is separated from the interior reception area by a glass partition. The interior common area includes a library and a wall of filing cabinets contained within a walnut veneer enclosure. The spare, crisp design features material accents that include gray ceramic tile slabs, walnut, carpet and white painted walls.
